It saw 156,000 Allied troops arrive in Normandy on 6 June 1944 for a combined naval, air and land assault on Nazi-occupied France.
A fleet of Dakotas took part in the flypasts and crossed the Channel from IWM Duxford to Cherbourg, France. They flew in formation over historic sites related to D-Day.
One of the highlights is on 9 June an International parachute jump of hundreds of soldiers and reenactments of paratroopers over Sainte-Mère-Eglise.
